  Heard Brian Eno produce U2's Unforgettable Fire as a kid in the 1980s, then The Orb & Orbital in the 90s. Loved it. Recently sought a creative outlet and messed around with Audacity and "djay" software a bit. Discovered Abelton ~6 months ago and just made my first mashup. I *really* want to produce something original and your tutorials (and attitude!) are the best I've found.
  Professionally I'm a PhD neuroscientist at the University of California, Santa Cruz. I brew beer and mountain bike a lot too. :-)
