I just listened to and realized he pretty much only uses 2 notes for the entire song: the root and the fifth. There may be a couple of other notes in there somewhere, but it gave me an idea for a challenge: to write a club banger using only two notes in all the "tonal" parts (bass, melody, pads, arpeggios, etc). Other notes would be allowed only if programmed into a certain sound (i.e. oscillators tuned a minor 3rd apart), but only if used with restraint.

Even if Tom doesn't launch this idea, I'm going to try it for myself. I'm amazed at what Deniz Koyo was able to cook up using minimal melodic movement in all of the parts. Sound design and production can go a long way!
