Nice job with the atmospheric textures, this track layers really nicely... I need to learn how to create pads and ambient textures like this, it's one area in my productions that I'm really lacking. Nice track.

Thanks Caris

I use Ableton of course and I really put my tracks together in the clip/rack view and ensure all my sounds work together BEFORE i get to arrangement view. I will generally add 25% (This is just a number and a guess) of filler sounds and elements after the landscape has been developed. I do a lot of layering, and group my effects into instrument racks and also layer them and use additional effects on different frequencies of a sound. Create High, mids and lows of particular sounds, basslines and synths.

I suppose my biggest issue is how thick I make the layers as it can get cloudy and I have to work really hard on separating all of the frequencies. I think the thickness though in itself can create quite an atmosphere...fine line...

Thanks for having a listen mate..
