Hey there. Following from the success of Cosmic Core Various Artists Album, which featured artists from this forum (cosmic-core.com), we are planning on releasing a series of various artists Genre albums, perhaps releasing one between each new Volume of Cosmic Core (which everyone seems keen to continue with). So if you are up for getting involved in putting a track (or two?) forward, then this thread is where we'll start. EDIT: We will be using Project management functionality of this site to summarise and plan the project details that are discussed and decided on this forum. We will be allocating roles to each person from project Director to mastering engineer (probably by the system of putting your name forward or suggesting a candidate and putting it to vote). The styles will probably be Psy-Trance, Dub-step, DnB , Songbased Electronica, that kind of thing EDIT: So please introduce yourself below if you are interested and we'll add you to the project group until we know what style we are going to go for. here we go............ //Damon Breakz\\ |

Just an idea, a Gabba specific album? This is the kind of thing I mean. but seriously, I think everyone gets a vote of Genre, and after some amount of time; we pick the favorite, and start with that? It's a shame we can't do a poll on here really. I'm not saying it should be really strict when it comes to number of votes, but it should begin us towards a trending idea at least. My doomed to fail vote is for the one and only Drum & Bass! My reasoning behind this is because the jungle is massive. This is the best idea I can think of to begin to press forward. As always, any other ideas are welcome! EDIT: Turns out you can embed YouTube videos just by pasting the link, I didn't mean for it to be so intrusive; but then it is Gabba, so I guess it should be. |

Well that's two votes for a drum n bass album. I would be up for putting a couple of tracks forward for that. //Damon Breakz\\ |

Guess my vote for a trance album is right out of question on this forum, so how about a break-beat album? im really not a big fan of dubstep and i know a lot of people ain't into trance, the problem with Genre specific albums is we segregate a lot of people straight away, for me this was one of the beautiful things about the first album...it was a bit of everything. EDIT: Ah i seem to have read this thread before the main Cosmic Core Thread...makes sense now, my bad |

Karl, we'll still do a Cosmic Core Volume II with a variety of styles like the first one. but some people have asked for genre specific albums. so, we can make sure we do one of each style represented on the forum if enough people participate. so chances are that there will be a trance album, a drum n bass album , a dub step album etc. each genre album could have a name, something like 'epic strings' brought to you by Cosmic Core. 'jungle massive' brought to you by cosmic core etc etc. naff names but they are just examples. we could alternate a cosmic core Volume with a cosmic core genre album to mix things up. The good thing about a genre album is that if only 6 people or so come forward for a genre, then each person could have two tracks. //Damon Breakz\\ |

Sounds very good, it also brings in more artists from these forums into play, Id love to work on a trance album i know there are a few trance heads in this forum...if your listening speak up guys and lets represent trance!! I may have to get some people to sign upto this forums, be a good way of promoting this site...i do that anyway but even more so now, hopefully Tom will get a nice influx of pro memberships coming his way |

Been hesitating on replying to this one. Mostly because I have trouble staying true to the "signature" of a particular genre! |

The Jungle is Massive! I had no idea Drum & Bass was so popular in these parts! |

Current scores are Drum n Bass United 4 Techno Wanderers 1 (edit) Trance City 2 ..but it's very early in the game... It's already an 8 track DnB album if we give 2 tracks each, so if we only get one more person we could go for it. Although it would be cool to get 10 or 11 individual artists to submit a track each. Then it would be half the size of a Cosmic Core Volume to keep people teased until C.C.VOL.II. //Damon Breakz\\ |

make a choice, make a stand! =) If we go for Drum n Bass I will probably rework one or two of the following tracks: soundcloud.com/damonbreakz/weapon-of-bass-technology (I would fix some of the sounds and make it shorter perhaps.. or more interesting at the end) soundcloud.com/damonbreakz/frenzy-work-in-progress (I would rework this , making sure I have properly disguised the identity and address of the poor guy getting arrested! although I already changed some of the speech around to do this - i need to check out the original recording I made from scanner radio to check it is all ok...and perhaps I should also check if using US Police scanner radio in a track is totaly illegal or not...) Then there is this one which has a lot of energy and some mad synths I could work on and develop at the end: soundcloud.com/damonbreakz/woo-yeah-in-progress or I could write a new track =) //Damon Breakz\\ |

"DnB +1" And also 'Weapons of bass technology' is wicked and the world needs to hear it! I prob won't do a track so I don't know if my opinion counts for anything, but the start of this track is especially nice and should definitely be the first track on the album. The first track clearly gets the most attention, and DamonBreakz, you deserve it. |
