New to the forum and looking for any information that will help me connect the dot in my quest for creating new music. It is tough to get my brain to wrap itself around some of the concepts that are in the Live software, Pro Tools and Native instruments.

My name is Alex, I'm from southwest UK, I'm male and 29.

I've been playing upright and electric bass since forever. Bass was my way into music. Slowly the music I've been listening and dancing to (reggae, dub and all forms of electronica) have been taking over my creative output and the fantastical world of computers has come to the forefront. I still dust the basses off every now and then! (if only to sample them)

I'm currently getting deeper into my Psy trance and the sounds of people like The commercial hippies and Tristan.

I'm looking forward to another British summer and dancing under the sky, spending time in the studio when I can catch it, Oh yes and I'm getting married this August hurrah....

My name is Paul, 36 from Sydney. I have been making electronic music for about 10 years, working as the project deltaNine( www.mp3.com.au/deltaNine ), but I am not as active making music as I once was!

I caught Tom's intro workshop at Rainbow Serpeant earlier this year, and his more advanced workshop at Cairns winter solstice festival last Friday. I learned heaps, and am keen to have a go at making my own liveset too.

I am Musik Magier (Hannes in \"reallive\"). I am from Germany. Musik Magier is the name with wich I am making music, it came to this name after a friend sended me some japanese pop song or something like that and he said I should mix it into one of my tracks. I asked him how I should do this it's sooo different and so on and he just said \"I don't know you are the \"Musik Magier\" (music magican).\" Since that it's my name under which I am producing.

I am producing Psytrance. I started to make electronic music in 1998 with ReBirth. But the first years it sounded terribel ofcourse I never made music electronicaly before, I played drums since I was 3 months old till I was 10 or 12 years old (1994/1996) but I never made music in electronical way before.
And I didn't know anyone who could help me with that, so I had to learn it all by myself, which is not bad, because now I realy know what I am doing and I realy learned and understood all the things.
But that learning process took about 3-5 years. After that my music started to sounding better.
And now after I know how I can realize some sounds or know what I am doing there. I am working on my mixes but I think thats an endless learning for everyone .
The next time when I will spend some money for my music it will definately be for some monitor speakers.

20 year old guy from Cape Town, South Africa. I started DJing Goth/EBM when I was 17 before falling in love with Psy a year later.

Began writing Goff music in 2005 on FL Studio before starting Psy Trance production with the same software. Moved over to Cubase in 2007 and haven't looked back. I've been signed to a local label, One Foot Groove, since the end of 2007.
